MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, “has served the mentoring field by providing a public voice, developing and delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide and promoting quality for mentoring through standards, cutting-edge research and state of the art tools” (http://www.mentoring.org/about_mentor). In July and August 2013, MENTOR surveyed 1,109 young adults between the ages of 18-21  on the topic of mentoring. The young adults were asked a series of questions related to their own mentoring experiences between the ages of 8-18. Big Brothers Big Sisters was their prime example of a structured mentoring program, and the findings of this survey are quite refreshing!
